In a lot of ways, music is like writing. You take a feeling, or an idea, or an event that means something to you and try to get it down on paper. It's very easy to lay yourself bare, to communicate in lyrics and music things you would never say with words. Things that everyone feels but no one admits. Sadness, depression, hope, joy, spirituality...love.
Glass House is an album about relationships. Here and there is a song that doesn't quite fit the theme, but the overall goal is to show love and loss.

Have you ever had friends who only did nice things for you when they wanted something in return? Have you ever felt utterly alone in the world? Have you ever wanted to just drop it all and run away?
Or maybe you've known a man whose life is in the can, but you love him anyway? Or maybe you've been lucky enough to know the one person with whom you can be happy for the rest of your life?
It Must Be Thursday is an amalgamation of life experiences, personal feelings, commentary on the state of the world, and random bits of thought.
